Think vintage charm, flower power and pretty perfection and designer Anushree Reddy instantly comes to mind.Known for her use of vivid colors and princess-like Indian wear, has quickly soared through the popularity charts and is definitely on top.She has a degree from the London School of Economics and was happy just filling her closet with beautiful designer wear.She worked as a editor for Hyderabad based fashion magazine.

Fashion keeps on changing but saree is only the attire which never changes but only its fabrics, pattern and colors keep on changing with time and trends. There are various traditional styles of sarees available in the Indian market.Here are some sarees which you would like to have in your wardrobe.

KANJEEVARAM SAREE

Kanjeevaram silk saree is a magnificent creation of the craftsmen living in a small town, Kanchi (Kanchipuram), situated in South India. The saree has been named after the town in which it is produced. The silk used in the creation of Kanjivaram saree is extremely fine as well as durable and is one of the most popular forms of silk in the state of Tamil Nadu.Kanjivaram sarees make use of a combination of numerous colored threads.

Adding to the attraction of the saris is the elaborate zari work. The motifs used in an Indian Kanchipuram sari are heavily based on the Pallava temples, palaces and paintings.Simple saris can be prepared in about 10 to 12 days. However, decorative ones require up to 20 days of workmanship. Kanjeevarams are expensive and can cost anywhere between Rs. 2000 to Rs. 50,000. The cost of the saree depends upon the amount of zari intertwined with the silk. The more the zari work, the more expensive the sari will be.

DHARMAVARAM SAREE

Dharmavaram a small town of rich handloom cluster situated in the District of Anantapur of Rayalaseema region in Andhra Pradesh. Amongst the silk weaves the Dharmavaram silk sarees are famous.Simpler patterns for every day use have the specialty of being woven in two colours which give an effect of muted double shades accentuated by the solid colour border and pallu. Though the Dharmavaram sarees are some what similar to Kanchipuram sarees of Tamilnadu, yet the muted colours, the double shades create a total different effect. it is one of the best places which produces ethnic and stylish saris in the country. Usually these sarees have broad borders, adorned by brocaded gold patterns. Not following any color contrast, Dharmavaram saris comprise heavy 'pallus' with exclusive designs.Cost of these sarees ranges from 2000 to 1 lakh.

BANARASI SAREE

Banarasi sari is One of the most beautiful Indian saree made in Banaras now known as Varanasi, the holy city of India. Saris from Banaras are considered as one of the finest saris in India and specially known for heavy work of gold and silver brocade or zari and embroidery. Banarasi sarees are not only a traditional attire, but a symbol of pride, happiness,union, and celebration for Indian women.

Chanderi Sarees

Chanderi Sari is one of the most favorite saree of Indian women,made with mix of silk and cotton. Due to very light weight and easy to carry, its become one of the most ideal and first choice of India woman. Chanderi is a small town situated in Ashoknagar district of heartland of India called Madhya Pradesh, It is  also famous for its brocades and muslin. Famous sarees from chanderi are Silk chanderi saree and Cotton chanderi silk sarees.

Tant Saree

The famous attire from the state West Bengal, Bengali Sarees are vibrant in color and always easy to handle for every type of occasion. Tant Saree is famous for its lightness,transparency and comfort and available in a wide range of design, color and style in the Indian market. It also known as evergreen saree because of it can be worn as a casual wear as well as a party or festival wear. The comfortableness and eligibility of tant saree makes it different from other Indian sarees.

Kota doria or Kota Sari 

Kota is one of many types of saree garments made at Kota,Rajasthan and Muhammadabad Gohna, Mau in Uttar Pradesh and its nearby area. Sarees are made of pure cotton and silk and have square like patterns known as khats on them.The chequered weave of a Kota sari is very popular.They are very fine weaves and weigh very less.Kota Doria is woven on a traditional pit loom in such a fashion that it produces square checks pattern on the fabric. The delicately wrought checks are locally known as khats. They smear onion juice and rice paste with a lot of care into the yarn making the yarn so strong that no additional finishing is needed.Kota sarees display individuality with a bit of embroidery and border patches, making them totally exclusive.

MANISH MALHOTRA

Manish Malhotra is one of India's most successful fashion designers.He has designed for many leading actresses.Manish is best known for his bridal wear collection and styling.Manish started his career as a model while studying at the Eliphinstone college in Mumbai.He introduced the concept of styling in bollywood after his first film as a designer for Juhi Chawla starrer Swarg over 2 decades ago.In 1998,he started his high profile couture store "Reverie-Manish Malhotra".Manish rocked the international fashion circle when he designed for Micheal Jackson.Besides films,Manish believes in spreading the area of design to various aspects.One such effort was designing the team gear for Shah Rukh's IPL team "Kolkatta Knight Riders". SABYASACHI MUKHERJEE

Sabyasachi  is an Indian fashion designer from Kolkatta. Since 1999, he has sold designer merchandise using the label 'Sabyasachi'. Mukherjee is one of the Associate Designer Members of Fashion Design council of India and the youngest board member of the National Museum of Indian Cinema.Deserts, gypsies,antique textiles and cultural traditions of his home town, Kolkata, have been a lifelong inspiration for this designer. He uses unusual fabrics, texturing and detailing, 'fusion' of styles, 'patch-work' with embellishments in a vibrant colors.Sabyasachi, in 2008 launched a line of jewelry exclusively designed by him in association with the GAJA brand.He launched his exclusive menswear collection featuring Sherwanis,kurtas and headgear.The Designer has also started the kids wear line under the label "Chota Sabhya".Mukherjee started a project called SAVE THE SAREE where he retails hand-woven Indian sarees on a non-profit basis priced at 3500 & the entire proceed goes to the weavers of Mushirabad. This initiative is also strongly supported by Bollywood stars like Aishwarya Rai and Vidya Balan.

NEETA LULLA

Neeta Lulla is one of India's most successful costume designers and fashion stylists.She is amongst the most awarded fashion designers in India having won the National Film Awards from the President of India on 4 occasions for Best Costume Design.Neeta Lulla has worked on over 300 films in more than 7 languages in Indian & International Cinema.Apart from films she has worked to style major historical epic shows on Indian Television.Neeta Lulla has recently announced the launch of a world class fashion school in association with Subhash Ghai, Whistling Woods International-Neeta Lulla School of Fashion.

Masaba Gupta is an Indian Fashion designer. Since July 2009, she sells designer merchandise using label 'Masaba'. She has been the youngest designer to unveil at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week 2010 with the label titled Gen next.Born in 1989, to West Indian cricketer Viv Richards and Indian actress Neena Guptashe joined Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women's University where she learned fashion designing and ended up winning three awards for her collection at her college graduation show.
